The 10:10 Campaign
10:10 is an ambitious project to unite every sector of British society behind one simple idea: that by working together we can achieve a 10% cut in the UK’ carbon emissions in 2010. By uniting everyone behind immediate, effective and achievable action, 10:10 enables all of us to make a meaningful difference.
Dorset Reclaim
Dorset Reclaim http://www.dorsetreclaim.org.uk/ is a registered charity project, based in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester, re-using and recycling furniture, electrical and household goods.
The principle aim of the Project is to provide these items to those in need within the local communities throughout Dorset and East Hampshire. Dorset Reclaim offer a free collection service for most domestic items, and will be pleased to collect anything that goes to making a home, from furniture,and electrical items to carpets and curtains, crockery and cutlery. A great way to help the environment and local people in need.
Freecycle
The Freecycle Network is made up of over 4500 groups with nearly 6 million
members across the globe. It’s a grassroots and entirely non-profit movement
of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns.
Membership is free, and everything posted must be FREE, legal and
appropriate for all ages. New Forest East group and a New Forest West Group.
