About Us

Who we are…

Hyde District Climate Change Forum (HDCCF) is a  group of local people who believe that we need to find ways to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.

What we do…

The Forum is open to everyone and we hold public meetings roughly every two months, with invited presentations, films and discussions on all aspects of sustainable development, climate change and other environmental issues.

We also arrange visits and events, and attend local fairs, and run a mini recycling depot (for small hard-to-recycle items) at the the Hyde Garden Shop.

HDCCF is affiliated to the New Forest Transition movement.

The aims and objectives of HDCCF are:

  1. To promote awareness of climate change and other environmental issues in the Hyde area;
  2. To promote both individual and collective action to deal with these issues;
  3. To gather and disseminate information and advice to assist members and others to take such action; and
  4. To undertake any other activities that may assist in the pursuit of these objectives.

Membership is open to all. The annual subscription is £5 per person per year, or £10 per family; non-members are charged £2 per person for each public meeting.
